Philippines…here we come!

Aloha family and friends,

After a 6 hour flight, our team has arrived safely in Honolulu! It’s always a beautiful sight flying into Oahu! We’re all little tired after our early morning start (up at 4am-ish to be at the airport by 5:15am) but very excited for the privilege that lies before us. Thanks to Capt. Skip and co-pilot Mike for a smooth flight! (yes, I’m a bit nerdy and actually pay attention to the names of the pilots however I am wondering if Capt. Skip is his real name :). Only a 90 min. layover here, which gives us just enough time to stretch our legs and then 10 and 1/2 hours to Manila!

As our family and friends dropped us off this morning, we all had “that moment”… that moment filled with the emotions of being away from family and friends, that moment of “did I get everything done on the list”, that moment of ” did I forget anything” and that most important moment of realizing that we are on our way to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) in another part of the world.
Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement as we press on in His Name!

Love and blessings,

Thanks, Kim, for posting about your trip and experience, and especially for any and all photos you’ll be including. 🙂 We’re very thankful that you had a good and uneventful trip to Manila (according to your “check in” on Facebook, you reached Manila about five hours ago). We’ll look forward to reading and seeing more about your days and activities there. (I know it will take extra time and effort on your part to maintain a blog while you’re there working and ministering!)

    Love to you all………

    Myrna (Kim’s mom) White
