We arrived late last night…Friday night. So thankful to be on the ground after a such a long flight. Doug, Cheryl and their daughter,Sandy met us at the airport for our 45 minute drive home to our dorm rooms at the clinic. After a quick tour of our hime away from home, Cheryl’s directions to the team…try to sleep as long as you can. Love that advice to get over jet lag and we had no problem dong exactly that. Some of us did better with the advice than others and since confession is good for the soul…Joan and I were up by 7am, ready to venture outside the gates and explore the little town. However, we stayed wishing the gates and checked out what we could.
This morning is beautiful and they guys are slowly arriving to join us for our morning devotion time together. Here are a few pictures of our transportation, our room(me and Joan), and the clinic:
Today’s personal reflection comes from reading our devotional book and the chapter on Power in Praying the Scripture. The closing sentence in this chapter says it all: “May we always seek our direction in prayer from the mouth of God as we pray with opened Bibles.”
So this leads me to my prayer today from 2 Thess. 3:1-5:
Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
Love and blessings!
